For years now, we’ve made it our business at GOOD to celebrate ideas that push the world forward. And with our latest platform GOOD Maker, we now have the technology to connect great intentions with the funding they need. We piloted the tool in our hometown of Los Angeles, where we presented a variety of projects to our community and asked them to vote on the one most deserving of a $2,500 grant.
Now, the votes of the first ever GOOD L.A. Fund have been counted, and the community has thrown their support behind goodness—Project Goodness, to be exact. More…

Blogger spreads goodness

Her idol: Oprah Winfrey. Her mission: spreading kindness. In 2009, entrepreneur Alli Seigel started a blog to record her progress in completing 365 kind acts, one each day for a year. That same year, she volunteered to teach about the power of doing good deeds to a friend’s second-grade class. The classroom experience became the foundation for Project Goodness, a nonprofit Seigel started to teach kids that they can make a difference in the world right now.

Project Goodness: Amazing New Charity

Project Goodness is an amazing new charity that teaches children how to activate their innate goodness through organized acts of philanthropy. Children learn the value of selflessness, the power of acts of kindness, and the fact that they truly can make a difference, because “every little bit counts!” During each 10-week program, a group of children works together to produce a “goodness project”, such as helping animals, homeless, children in need, and other important causes that will help them learn core lessons and values .
